Following a management buy-out we undertook a review of our sales position and where we thought the scope for improvement lay. Although the business had grown successfully and we were increasing revenues with existing clients, we weren’t converting as many of the new business opportunities as we wanted. Sales Blueprint starting by getting to grips with what we had and how it was sold together with understanding the sales management processes in place and how they were used. From here they recommended a series of very practical changes, the most startling of which was a radical overhaul of our whole sales approach.
Convinced of the need for this change, we engaged them to work with us in developing the new approach and implementing it with our entire sales team. The results have been dramatic to say the least. Recent market conditions have made winning new business even tougher but we now have a committed sales team, properly equipped and working very differently than before. As a result we are winning projects we would not have previously won, one or two of real significance in new markets for us and we are now building a very healthy pipeline for the future. We have developed new sales management tools and the corresponding skills to use them and feel very confident of our ability to continue to grow and deliver the business’s sales expectations going forward.
